I have been running a little the last few days but only a couple of 5k runs.
I'm starting to get pretty nervous now! It's only 2 days until Copenhagen Marathon :-)
I have got my race pace sorted, energy gels sorted, cheerleaders sorted, drinks and food sorted, and am already aware of what will be the 'boring' part of the course.
I have run almost the whole course in pieces during all my training so know what to expect. There is no doubt that the best part of the course is between 23k and 28k. This is a fantastic run all the way along the front of Copenhagen harbour :-)
I have run this route many times and love doing it! Also my husband and sons will be on this part of the course cheering me on!
I can't wait until Sunday :-)
AAAHHHHHHH!!! That's how I feel inside when I think about Sunday! :O I haven't prepared at all yet but I know what I need to do. I still haven't decided what to wear waiting for more weather updates. I have been reading a lot of stories and blogs from people on their first marathons and it's really helped me with my mental confidence. Also, I am going to watch this documentary tonight about the Badwater Ultramarathon that's 135 miles through Death Valley, CA. Watching those people suffer will make my marathon aches and pains seem so small!
ReplyDeleteHi Candy,
ReplyDeleteI just put the updated weather forecast on my blog.
It looks great!! No rain, temperature has dropped and the wind has stayed the same. Of course, no wind would be better but I just don't want it to get worse :-)
See you on Sunday!
Good luck tomorrow morning, rain or shine! I am going to try to find the 4:30 pace group and start there I think. I will look for you I am wearing all black, 2564. AHHHHHHHGHHH! :)
