New Adidas Adistar Boosts!

My old Adistar Boosts are almost dead so it was time to buy some new ones. There was no way I was going to buy anything else as these are the best running shoes ever!! No blisters, No lost toenails, No knee problems!!!

I have run my last three marathons in my Boosts and have had NO problems at all! Unlike my first four marathons!

As some of you may remember last year I was an ambassador for Adidas Adistar Boosts for a danish shop called Kaiser Sport.
This was my review that I wrote for them:-

As far as I am concerned the Adidas Boost trainers are THE BEST TRAINERS EVER! Why do I say this?

All 4 of my other marathons that I have run have two things in common:-
1: LOTS of blisters!
2: BIG loss of toenails!

I have been searching for some trainers that would help with the blister situation and would stop me losing toenails. I had already tried taping my toes, different socks, different trainers, trainers too big, vaseline, bodyglide stuff, vitamins, and any other remedies I could find on running sites. Nothing has made any difference :-(

But now I seem to have found the answer: Adistar Boosts!!

After the marathon I had one little blister on the side of my big toe and one little blister in between two toes. And that was it (other than having very wrinkled feet from the wetness). As of now, three days after the marathon, it looks like all my toenails will stay attached this time :-) If I don't lose a toenail then, as far as I'm concerned, these trainers are like GOLD to me! I'll keep you updated.

There also seems to definately be a return of energy when running in these shoes as my legs didn't seem very tired at all during the marathon and could have carried on going for ??? amount of kilometres more!

One last thing, the trainers are not very water resistant so when my Boosts are dead and I buy some more, I am going to spray them with a water resistant spray to help my feet stay maybe a little dryer :-)

Please Adidas don't ever change your Adistar Boosts!!

Adistar Boosts after Copenhagen Marathon Review!

On Sunday I ran Copenhagen Marathon in my Adidas Boosts! I admit I was very nervous about running a marathon in them as they sit very snug on the feet so I was thinking that I may lose more toenails than ever before.
The weather was rainy like in Edinburgh so I knew that I would get wet feet again...

Adidas Boost Edinburgh Sightseeing!

With their well deserved medal!
Over this weekend my Adistar Boosts packed their suitcase and went on a little trip to Edinburgh to run the Rock 'n' Roll Edinburgh half marathon and also do some sightseeing :-)

At the top of Arthurs Seat

On Edinburgh Castles Wall

At Dean Village

At Calton Hill

Ready to run!

They are great to wear walking around and they certainly did a lot of walking!

I found them to be very comfortable during the half marathon! I had no blisters and all my toenails are still there. Unfortunately because of the weather I wasn't paying much attention to what my legs and feet were saying!

The Adistar Boosts must be great though as I was only 5 minutes slower than my half marathon PB and finished in 2 hours and 7 minutes. Once you read my Rock 'n' Roll Edinburgh half marathon write up (coming Tuesday) you'll understand why that was such an achievement!!

Adidas Boost Copenhagen Sightseeing

Last Thursday I went to an Adidas Boost event at Kaiser Sport. I am now an official Adidas Boost Ambassador!

On Friday I tested my new Adistar Boost trainers out on a hill run and was liking them a lot! The energy does indeed seem to be returned back to you as you bounce down the road :-) The trainers 'hug' the feet so they feel all nice and snug. There is no pinching or foot suffocation though. My toes don't feel tight and actually feel very comfortable.

Today I decided to dress up in the whole Adidas Boost gear with a t-shirt, jacket, running tights, and, of course, the trainers, and then take a 10k run around the city centre!

For the first 6k I didn't notice so much difference between my Adistar Boosts and my Brooks trainers just the bouncing like before but after this distance my legs seemed to have a life of their own! I have never experienced anything like it before and it's very hard to describe the feeling. The best I can come up with is a 'runners high for legs'. This is something that has to be tried to be believed!

I WILL be wearing my Adistar Boosts for Rock 'n' Roll Edinburgh half marathon on Sunday and am very much looking forward to testing them out over a longer distance :-)

Adidas Boost Ambassador!

I have been chosen by a danish sports store called Kaiser Sport to become an ambassador for the new Adidas Boost trainers!! How cool is that? I get to run around Copenhagen while promoting the new Boost trainers and wearing Boost training clothes :-)

I'm very excited about trying these trainers as I love what I'm reading about them and was thinking about giving them a go anyway. Don't get me wrong, I am still loving my Brooks but I'm always open to seeing if there is something better out there! So when I read yesterday that Kaiser Sport were looking for 10 women and 10 men to be ambassadors for the new Adidas Boost trainers I wrote an application straightaway and they have chosen me :-)

As well as running in them I also have to write about what I think of them. So I'm kind of reviewing them too! I will hear more in March about what I will be doing.

This is going to be a fantastic experience and I can't wait to get started......
